2018 White Jeep Wrangler in Latham, New York | Goldstein Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram2018 has welcomed the introduction of the all-new Jeep Wrangler, an exceptional model that combines all the heritage and character of the Wrangler name with high-tech features and a level of civility never achieved by its predecessors. A successful blend of one of the most iconic off-road SUVs ever made and all the latest technology, there’s little in the new model that hasn’t been updated.

From the wider and longer design, a completely new interior, and updated engine to its easy-fold windshield, easily removed doors, and souped-up off-roading abilities, the new Jeep Wrangler is a far superior machine.

Interior Upgrades

The interior of the 2018 Wrangler boasts a modern yet simple layout and updated materials. Passengers can enjoy more space, while leather seats and dash accents are available for a touch of added luxury. Finishing details, like body-color dash panels and rounded vents, and extra gadgets, including a touchscreen, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, also elevate the new model into a premium motor territory. Despite this, the car retains all the rugged goodness you’d expect from a Wrangler and off-road SUV, with a grab handle mounted on the passenger side for when the going gets rough.

Slick Exterior

When you first see the new Wrangler, the style may strike you as a fairly simple update on the car’s classic appearance. But when you take a closer look, you’ll notice a lot of great details. The 2018 Wrangler is over 2 inches wider at the wheelbase than previous models, providing maximum comfort and stability. Newly-designed aluminum doors are easier to remove than ever, while folding down the windshield now only requires the removal of four bolts, compared to the 28 needed in the past. Add to this the option of LED head and taillights and several different roof configurations to choose from, and it’s easier than ever to enjoy the liberating open-top and off-road driving experience Jeepers love, while still being able to shelter from the rain when needed.

What’s Under the Hood

Although there is a diesel engine on the horizon for the 2019 model, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler has two engine options available. Those familiar with the Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge’s Pentastar V6 engine will know it packs a powerful punch. With 285 horsepower plus 260 lb-ft of torque, the Pentastar is available with both an 8-speed automatic transmission and the all-new 6-speed manual transmission.

If you’ve been searching for a manual Pentastar the 2018 Wrangler is currently the only way to get one!

Also available is a brand-new 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, boasting 268 horsepower plus 295 lb-ft of torque. This is only available with the automatic. However, it’s a tempting choice, offering greater torque in a lower rev range.

If you’re in the market for a new off-roading SUV, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler is a great choice, with modern looks, excellent features, and all the rebellious charm we’ve come to know and love from the range.
